I am a Chartered Tax Adviser and Chartered Accountant and I have recently completed the STEP Diploma in Trusts and Estates (EandW) to consolidate the knowledge that I have gained in practice.

I have over twenty-five years of experience, initially working in practice for the big four, before moving to industry for a few years as a tax manager for a large PLC. I also gained further experience working for other businesses before joining Ellacotts in 2008, where I initially worked in our Agriculture and Property department before moving to the Tax and Wealth Planning team.

I enjoy working for Ellacotts as it has an open working culture and I feel respected and valued for what I bring to the firm. It also provides me with a wide variety of interesting work, together with new challenges and opportunities.

My role at Ellacotts is focused on providing advice on all areas of personal tax matters including Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax. Consideration is always given to the wider tax implications to ensure that where possible, tax liabilities are mitigated through careful planning. I have a particular interest in trusts and estates, property transactions and residence and domicile issues.

I am also involved in all areas of tax compliance, providing a wide range of personal tax services to a variety of clients including individuals, businesses, trusts and estates.

Outside of work, I am kept busy with family life and enjoy spending time with my husband and three children (although they are slowly flying the nest!). Any spare time is usually spent running, cycling or at a local gym trying to improve my fitness!
