After over twenty years, gaining valuable experience within local and national accountancy firms I joined Ellacotts in early 2021 and my qualifications include ACCA and AAT. To give something back to the local community I had the pleasure of being treasurer of my local primary Parent Teachers Association, which gave me a great perspective on the other side of the accountant/client relationship.

I have worked in many sectors over the years and my biggest audit client to date was an Energy Supplier based in the Midlands. I’ve been on planes to review files, worked out of my car when we couldn’t access a client’s building and had to turn around some audits in two days.

Most importantly, over the years I have had the pleasure of working with some outstanding individuals who have helped me develop just as I have helped them develop.

Ellacotts is the perfect firm for me. I have the flexibility of hybrid working, meaning I can work from home and flex for family commitments when needed, but at the same time, the firm has many opportunities for me to develop and progress to take my career to the next level. Very much ‘you are the master of your own destiny’.

Outside of work, I will do anything active from walking the family Cockapoo (Luna) to ultra marathons – I’m never one to sit still!
