I qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser in 1994 with a national firm of chartered accountants and went on to gain further experience in personal tax with another two national accountancy firms. I also enjoyed several years in publishing as a Senior Technical Editor updating tax publications and commentary for tax professionals.

After a break from the profession, I joined the Tax and Wealth Planning team at Ellacotts LLP in November 2017. My role has progressed during my time here to include assisting with the management of the personal tax compliance service and supporting the tax partner and manager in a wide range of tax advisory matters including inheritance tax, capital gains tax and residence and domicile issues. No two days are the same; the work is really varied and interesting.

Outside of work, I enjoy getting out for walks in the countryside, spending time with family and friends and working in the garden, especially the vegetable plot.
